DEEP is an international design and engineering company on a mission to make humans aquatic. We’re doing this by advancing ocean exploration through the development of new technologies that will enable humans to live and work in underwater environments for longer periods of time.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support procurement and project delivery activities for DEEP in the UK. This role will assist with supplier coordination, purchasing processes, and project accounting for the development and deployment of DEEP’s subsea purchase orders, tracking of project costs, and maintaining supplier and budget records. This position is ideal for someone early in their procurement or project management career.
- Procurement Support
- Support identification and onboarding of new suppliers under guidance from senior team.
- Gather and verify supplier information to ensure compliance with DEEP’s quality and safety standards.
- Project Accounting
- Maintain accurate cost tracking and budget monitoring for assigned projects.
- Support project leads with financial reporting, including actuals vs. reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Prepare regular financial summaries and dashboards for reviews.
- Track performance metrics (on-time delivery, cost control, quality compliance).
- Help coordinate supplier review meetings and performance updates.
- Project Administration
- Support project setup, planning, and document control.
- Maintain project plans, risk registers, and procurement schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering and logistics to ensure timely flow of materials and information.
- Provide clear, accurate updates to procurement and project leads to support decision-making.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or projects (ideally in OEM engineering or manufacturing).
- Experience in a safety regulated industry such as Aerospace or Marine Engineering.
- Basic understanding of procurement and project management principles.
- Strong attention to detail with good numerical and financial literacy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common project tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
