The Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered heavy equipment, trailers, hydraulic systems, and oilfield service units. This role includes both shop and field work, operating a service truck to perform mobile repairs, and providing troubleshooting and diagnostic support.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Schedule: Local to PA, Monday - Friday, flexible work schedule to meet the demands of industry hours may be long and irregular and include evenings and weekends or on call duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines (Cat, Detroit, Allison, Cummins)
- Perform maintenance on trucks, trailers, hydraulic systems, and emissions systems (DEF/DPF/Tier 4)
- Use diagnostic software: SIS, INSIGHT, Allison
- Rebuild hydraulic systems and perform field service repairs
- Mentor Mechanic 1 and trainee-level team members
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Operate forklifts and telehandlers
- Participate in on-call weekend rotation
- Work in various outdoor conditions (approx. 75% shop, 25% field)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–5+ years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience (oilfield preferred)
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record
- Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience mentoring others
- Familiarity with oilfield equipment, safety practices, and documentation
- Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
