Deep Well Services is hiring an Entry-Level Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team in Longview, TX. If you\’re ready to get hands-on experience working on diesel engines, hydraulics, trailers, and off-road equipment—and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty—we want to hear from you!
Pay:Based on Experience
Status: Full-time | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Flexible, with evening/weekend on-call as needed
Travel: Approx. 25% (field-based support as needed)
What You’ll Do:
Assist with basic repairs and maintenance of diesel trucks, trailers, and hydraulic systems
Learn to troubleshoot mechanical issues both in the shop and in the field
Support mobile repair operations and ride along with senior mechanics
Help perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Keep accurate maintenance records and follow established protocols
Work under the guidance of senior mechanics and the Maintenance Manager to develop your technical skills
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in mechanical or diesel-related work (school or trade experience counts!)
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or vocational courses preferred
Skills: Basic understanding of diesel systems, tools, and safety practices. Willingness to learn about hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
Tech-Friendly: Comfortable using basic computer systems or eager to learn maintenance software
License: Valid driver’s license with clean MVR. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card
