The Electrician is responsible for general electrical maintenance of the operation fleet, equipment, and fixtures. Complete understanding of AC and DC circuits, electrical schematics, pressure switches and PLC systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment including components installed on oilfield and well control equipment.
  • Perform work on specialized oilfield equipment.
  • Perform repairs in the field on mobile equipment.
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities.
  • Troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Perform visual and functional inspection and associated checklists.
  • Record jobs and inspections using work order system.
  • Provide support and work closely with DWS Snubwell team.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of electrical work; generator, light plant repair and maintenance; knowledge of 12V and 24V systems; previous experience with I/III phase motors/components; knowledge of class 1 DIV 1 fixtures and components; knowledge of accumulator charging systems; computer skills an asset.
  • Other Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
