The Ancillary Equipment Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, service, repair and testing of Light Plants, Power Swivels, Tong’s, Hydraulic Pumps, Generators, etc.
Skills & Abilities
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: 1+ years working with or around ancillary equipment servicing or related job experience; previous experience preferred.
- Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, self-motivating individuals with prior order desk and consumable materials management experience.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license, meet minimum driving standards for company insurance purposes, and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical.
Position Details
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
- Job Status: Full-time
- Amount of Travel Required: 30%
- Reports to: BOP Manager
- Direct Reports: None
- Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. However, due to the nature of the business, hours may be long and irregular. Weekend and evening hours may be necessary on occasion (on call every other weekend might be expected).

Duties
- Servicing all Ancillary Equipment that falls into the department.
- Perform and document all pressure tests for these components after service.
- Obtain and maintain an inventory of consumable materials and parts for these items.
- Organize and maintain the facility including the testing station and Tong cage.
- Assist field personnel with job related problems associated with these components.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
