Role overview: In this role, you’ll be working with a team of experienced combat designers to design, create and balance an excellent combat player experience. You will help ensure the design process is a true collaboration between all disciplines and that the design is clearly communicated out. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about combat player experience, especially focusing on melee combat, with excellent communication skills. This is a fully studio-based role, so you can learn from our incredible industry experts.

Responsibilities:
- Research features looking at competitor titles and other relevant research materials.
- Work hands on in editor to assist in putting together prototypes, and balance work in progress features.
- Stay current with particularly combat focused games playing a broad selection of games, utilising our in-house game library.
- Update documentation to ensure Game Design docs are always accurate and reflective of current designs.
- Work under the guidance of other Game Designers to collaborate with other disciplines on features.
- Undertake tasks as defined by the Lead Game Designer to assist the combat design team in meeting their goals.
Requirements:
- A passion for combat gameplay particularly melee combat.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating combat experience creating playable games/demos.
- A desire to learn with a curious mind, asking questions to better understand the game.
- Open minded with ability to take initiative to solve problems.
- Comfortable with taking on feedback and adapting work as required.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely in both written documentation and verbally.
- Familiar with UE 4, 5 or a similar game editing package.
