Summary: The Lead Product Designer will shape the product experience by analyzing customer and business problems, and delivering elegant solutions. You will drive design execution, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to align on business goals. From ideation through to final delivery and post-launch feedback, you’ll own the full design cycle. You will work across multiple platforms (employee portal, employer portal, and admin dashboard) to create holistic and impactful user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Deeply analyze customers and business problems to identify pain points.
- Rapidly create impactful and elegant solutions to problems.
- Strategically think of the product from high level to connect the missing dots.
- Update acceptance criteria and define logic for your work.
- Take full cycle ownership of your work from ideation, design, review, and feedback to final test build and post-release.
- Co-lead the team with Product Managers and Developers.
- Actively give feedback and mentor designers in your team.
- Perform design reviews and one-to-one meetings.
- Drive the vision for your product, aligning the team on a better future state.
- Steer the group’s design execution toward reaching business goals.
- Work holistically across multiple platforms to solve problems—including the employee portal, employer portal, and admin dashboard for customer support.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience as a product designer in fast-paced environments (preferably scale-ups or startups).
- +2 years of experience as a lead product designer, managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong expertise in both UX and UI design.
- Passionate about design and continuous learning.
- Experienced with design systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and empower team members.
- Know when to dive deep and when to execute efficiently.
- Experience collaborating closely with development teams and minimal oversight from product managers.
- Comfortable managing the full development cycle, from ideation to design QA.
