At CellPoint Digital, we're revolutionizing the way businesses in the air, travel, and hospitality sectors manage their payments. Our leading payment orchestration platform helps some of the world's leading brands make payments simpler, smarter and more profitable, from improving payment experiences and maximizing approval rates to reducing costs and unlocking new opportunities. But technology is only part of the story. It's our people who make the difference. We're a global team of innovators, problem-solvers and ambitious professionals who care about the work we do and the impact we have. We work across borders, functions and cultures, bringing different perspectives together to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful results for our customers.

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Director of Business Development to drive new business growth across the global airline sector. This is a senior, market-facing role for someone who understands the airline industry, possesses an established network of airline decision-makers and has a proven track record of creating, developing and closing complex enterprise opportunities. You'll be responsible for identifying and opening strategic opportunities, building relationships at the highest levels of airline organisations and positioning CellPoint Digital as a trusted payments and commerce partner. Working closely with our Consulting, Product and Leadership teams, you'll help airlines solve complex commercial and operational challenges while delivering measurable business outcomes.

Your Team

This role sits within our global Commercial organisation and works closely with Consulting, Product, Delivery, Marketing and Executive Leadership teams. You will partner with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, collaborating across functions to develop account strategies, create opportunities and win new business with some of the world's leading airlines. Based in London, you will play a key role in expanding CellPoint Digital's presence across global airline markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across priority airline customers and target markets
  • Identify, originate and progress new business opportunities, including opportunities where there is no formal procurement or buying process
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level and senior airline stakeholders
  • Lead commercial discussions across payments, e-commerce, customer experience, revenue optimisation, treasury, finance and technology functions
  • Position CellPoint Digital as a strategic payments and commerce partner rather than a traditional technology vendor
  • Build compelling business cases that clearly demonstrate commercial value and measurable outcomes
  • Manage complex sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and closure
  • Collaborate with Consulting, Product, Delivery and Leadership teams to develop winning solutions and proposals
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting process and CRM discipline
  • Bring market intelligence, customer feedback and industry insights into CellPoint Digital's commercial and product strategy
  • Represent CellPoint Digital at customer meetings, industry events and strategic engagements

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, partnerships or consultative selling
  • Strong airline industry experience with an established network of senior airline contacts
  • Proven track record of originating and closing complex enterprise opportunities
  • Experience engaging and influencing C-level stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of airline commercial, finance, treasury, e-commerce, payments, revenue management or technology functions
  • Experience managing long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling skills
  • Experience developing business cases, proposals and value-led commercial conversations
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and proactively create opportunities

Qualifications

  • Proven enterprise business development and sales experience
  • Strong airline industry relationships and network
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience selling complex technology, fintech, payments or enterprise solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional commercial, negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Experience managing strategic opportunities from origination through to close

Desirable

  • Experience within payments, fintech, travel technology or commerce platforms
  • Experience working with airlines, OTAs, travel management companies or broader travel organisations
  • Understanding of payment orchestration, acquiring, fraud, optimisation or payment technologies
  • Experience selling SaaS, platform or enterprise software solutions
  • Global sales and international account management experience

This is an opportunity to help shape the future growth of CellPoint Digital's airline business. Rather than inheriting an existing territory, you'll have the autonomy to identify target accounts, develop senior relationships and create new opportunities across a global airline market. You'll be supported by industry-leading technology, a collaborative leadership team and deep payments expertise while playing a key role in the next stage of our growth. If you're passionate about airlines, enterprise sales and building strategic customer relationships, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant commercial impact within one of the most innovative companies in the payments industry.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At CellPoint Digital, we believe that diverse perspectives drive innovation. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to do their best work. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences and identities.
