About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and highly experienced Staff Product Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our products, driving design excellence, and delivering delightful customer experiences. You will lead design initiatives across vertical and horizontal projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and impactful user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Design Initiatives: Define and deliver product design across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. Lead the development of end-to-end features and services that resonate with our users.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business partners, to build coherent, high-quality experiences that are both functional and delightful.
- Advocate for Design Systems: Champion the Deel UI/Design System strategy, driving adoption through an iterative approach that balances consistency with innovation.
- Design and Prototype at Speed: Rapidly design, prototype, and test new features based on a deep understanding of business, customers and technology, to deliver thoughtful solutions even in the face of ambiguity.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide mentorship to Product Designers, offering constructive feedback to foster growth and skill development. Lead design practice rituals and develop new standards that enhance team efficiency.
- Identify and Solve Bottlenecks: Partner with product and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, make informed recommendations, and implement improvements that streamline process.
- Drive Clarity from Complexity: Navigate ambiguity with ease, driving clarity and actionable insights from complex situations. Equally, balance user and business needs to create solutions that are impactful and strategic.

Requirements:
- Passion for Design: A deep passion for Product Design and UX Design craft; committed to creating meaningful, impactful user experiences.
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years as a Product Designer in a fast-paced environment, with at least 2 years leading holistic design as a Staff Product Designer (or equivalent title).
- Multi-Disciplinary Expertise: Strong skills in UI, UX, and visual design, with a proven track record of crafting functional yet delightful customer experiences. Comfortable working through complex flows, creating engaging interfaces, and storytelling through visuals and prototypes.
- Data-Informed Design: Your design work is deeply rooted in ideation, experimentation and evidence, ensuring that recommendations are always backed by data.
- Comfortable with Ambiguity: Able to work at speed while maintaining high-quality and thoughtful solutions; driving clarity from complexity and ambiguity.
