• Collaborate in a cross‑functional team with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA to create seamless experiences.
• Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, ensuring your voice drives the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Develop and enhance robust new features and APIs, continuously improving our industry‑leading products and fixing bugs at \”Deel Speed.\”
• Provide an exceptional, customer‑centric experience by building quality engineering products and focusing on customer needs.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Expertise in backend development with strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, and at least one other server‑side language.
• Database mastery, especially with PostgreSQL, handling query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
• Solid grasp of OOP and design patterns, with experience building and extending classes.
• Scalability focus, designing systems that manage rapid growth and increasing demands efficiently.
• High‑volume performance, optimizing systems for large transaction volumes, concurrency, idempotency, and performance under load.
• API development skills, building secure, scalable APIs with input validation, JWT tokens, and queue‑based systems.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
