The Legal Counsel will primarily focus on legal employment and commercial matters in the UK & I. This role will ensure the Companyâs compliance with local and global regulations, mitigate legal risks, and provide legal support across various business functions.
Responsibilities- Advise senior management on employment and commercial legal matters.
- Oversee compliance and risk management strategies.
- Guide junior legal professionals and foster team development.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and regulatory discussions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate high value contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, customer contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Build and maintain relationships with external counsel, regulators, and key stakeholders.
- Ability in taking autonomous decisions while handling escalations and projects, where requested.
- Handling complex escalations independently.
- 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on corporate and employment law.
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure legal negotiations.
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
- Experience in a global or multiâjurisdictional environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
