Occupational Therapist – Manchester (Local Authority role)

Initial 3-6 month contract. Rate: Negotiable, indicate rate sought. Full time 35hrs week, will consider part time 28 hours.

The role is hybrid with a minimum of 2 office days and travel across GM on other days. Minimum of 28hrs a week over 4 days.

This is for an OT post in our rehousing team at Manchester City Council. We are looking for an OT with housing adaptations experience who can assess people in their own home for adaptations.

Work will also consist of matching applicants to available adapted homes and undertaking viewings to homes with these applicants.

The role holder will ensure that through effective advice, planning and support and the utilisation of \’joined up\’ approaches, individuals are able to access housing that meets their needs.

The role holder will work to provide direct support for individuals and families in accordance with effectively identifying cases and/or managing a caseload in order to secure positive housing outcomes for Manchester residents.
