Mechanical Engineer Nuclear – Bristol The role We are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to embark on a rewarding new career path with our Nuclear team in the South West. You will be required to apply your technical knowledge and managerial skills to deliver innovative and economic projects that meet our team requirements. Responsibilities Within this role your responsibilities will include: * Working in the role of lead designer to support the mechanical design teams * Coordinating with all stake holders to build and maintain strong working relationship * Reviewing all designs and design changes * Advising other stakeholders on project mechanical systems, electrical systems and civil engineering * Executing technical reviews, ensuring any issues are addressed and resolved * Leading all CDM and design reviews and meetings * Ensuring that the site correctly addresses nuclear safety and environment protection requirements * Ensuring the department work is in line with the project schedule Skills and experience The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Degree in a relevant Engineering based subject or other relevant discipline Experience within nuclear or similar heavily regulated industry A good understanding of welding, fabrication and materials Excellent organisation and project management skills with a good knowledge of project and schedule management Good written and verbal communication skills
