Essential criteria:

  • Knowledge and experience of Local Authority Procurement, including reporting to Committee on award of contract.
  • Track record of successful contract management with a range of existing suppliers.
  • Subject matter expert in tenanted fixed service charges including formerly sheltered housing schemes, able to calculate and forecast future expenditure in line with best practice.
  • Able to estimate service charges for new build schemes within and outside of the HRA.
  • Able to build rapport and respond to Member Enquiries and first stage complaints from residents.
  • Knowledge of health & safety relating to contracts.
  • Able to work at pace on a range of priorities to fulfill requirements.

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of setting up and coaching a group of engaged residents to oversee grounds maintenance contracts.
  • Knowledge of using NEC and Housemark photobook IT software systems.
