We’re looking for a treasurer to do our financial reporting, build our processes and help plan the future of the Shed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage financial reporting and accounting activities.
- Build and improve financial processes to support governance and decision‑making.
- Assist the board with planning and goal setting through regular meetings, and coordinate or accommodate meetings as needed (in person or remotely).
- Support the coordination of meetings and communications with volunteers and the Coordinator, including one‑on‑one meetings when appropriate.
Qualifications and Desired Qualities
- Qualification in accounting and experience in an associated role.
- Experience in the charity sector and awareness of the specific reporting responsibilities.
- Real passion for social innovation, community‑building and sustainability.
- Willingness to contribute professional skills to other areas if helpful (e.g., joinery/crafting/3D printing/small appliance repair/event planning/local group liaison/sewing).

We’re a team of locals who set up a library of things in town to share more as a community. At the LGS, people can borrow a range of items (gardening tools, kitchen gadgets, kit for parties and camping, DIY equipment, etc.) for a small fee instead of buying them.
