Volunteer Overview

Reach Out provides companionship and practical support to older people who are medically vulnerable and at risk of hospital admission, or who have recently been discharged from hospital. We are seeking friendly, caring volunteers to visit clients in their own homes and offer help and companionship.

Responsibilities

  • Spend approximately one hour per week visiting an older person in their home.
  • Offer companionship through conversation, a cup of tea, or a short walk in the fresh air.
  • Assist with light practical support to help clients recover from illness and reduce social isolation.
