As Secretary for Young Carers Crew, you will provide administrative support for this charity that gives young carers some time for enjoyment & emotional support.
Our small charity – Young Carers Crew (YCC) – is run by a board of Trustees together with a paid Youth Group Leader. We need to find a Secretary who will also become a Trustee of YCC.
A new Secretary/Trustee will work with the team behind the scenes to ensure the safe running of the group. They will work alongside the team of Trustees as well as with the Youth Group Leader. This is a voluntary role; expenses will be covered. You will find the role very fulfilling, as the group places a high value on the contribution of all their trustees. You may also occasionally visit the group in person, and it can be rewarding to see the enjoyment these young carers gain from participation.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support for the charity.
- Ensure the safe running of the fortnightly group sessions.
- Coordinate with Trustees and the Youth Group Leader.
- Occasionally visit the group in person to support activities.
- Volunteer with commitment to become a Trustee of YCC.
- Support the mission of providing respite and emotional support to young carers aged 8–18.
Our mission is to support local young carers (aged 8 to 18) through running a fortnightly group with fun activities and a chance to gain emotional support, plus occasional trips.
