Responsibilities

Support people with brain injury to participate in a range of activities in a social setting. Assist with activities such as seated yoga, music, table top sports, quizzes and occasional day trips. Help volunteers to enable participation and provide a friendly, reliable presence. Be prepared to help with arts and crafts or share a skill you have that could benefit the group. Travel to meeting places as needed and maintain a positive, can-do approach.

Qualifications

No prior experience or knowledge of brain injury is required. An induction programme and training in mandatory topics and activities of interest will be provided. The role requires good listening and communication skills, reliability, and the ability to support others to participate.

Additional Information

Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed. Regular volunteer meetings are held to connect with other volunteers in this small but busy charity.
