Now in our 10th year, we have an opportunity for someone to join Kimpton Folk Festival's energetic and experienced committee as Stage Crew Manager.
You will be a valued member of Kimpton Folk Festival Committee. You will attend a two-hour committee festival planning evening meeting, once a month from January to June 2026.
The Stage & Set Manager will:
- Coordinate the stage and set crew to set up and set down the stage and performance areas on the Green.
- Be as good with people, as you are at practical, hands-on activities.
- Liaise with the bar supplier.
- Manage a small team to put up signage and lights.
- Be part of risk assessment and emergency planning.
- Organise the team to set up the stage, put up marquees and gazebos, and put out the straw bale benches, and take them down at the end of the day.
You'll have a lot of fun at the festival. We are a friendly group, all wanting to put on the best possible festival each year. It is attended by around 1000 local people and visitors from around the UK. The atmosphere is always very special and sometimes electric! We hope you will join us. You will be most welcome!
With a line-up that really punches above its weight, it's "One of the very best little festivals in the country". Three concert stages, alongside free folk dance and folk music sessions, workshops, and family entertainment on the Green.
