CHANGE A YOUNG PERSON'S LIFE
We support young people from 11 - 24, with a wide range of needs primarily those below. All our young people are experiencing at least one of these needs, however most experience multiple needs which compounds the level of risk they face:
- At Risk of / Involved in Offending Behaviour
- Care Experienced
- At Risk of / Experiencing Exploitation
- Mental Health

Many of our young people are overwhelmed by the number of professionals involved in their life. Volunteer mentors are a voice of reason there by choice not professional caseload. Volunteer mentors work with Caudwell Youth as a means of using their diverse skills and life experience to have a positive impact on a young person's life.
How it works
Mentoring with us means working with one young person for 1-2 hours a week. A combination of support through messaging/calling and meeting up in the community. Support your young person in making positive life choices and in identifying and taking the next steps in their life. Keep us up to date with your young person via our online app.
What we provide
- Training to work with young people.
- Regular support and guidance from your Youth Support Coordinator.
- Travel expenses are covered along with £15 a week for volunteers and their young person to use during mentoring sessions.
- A safeguarding lead will always be on hand to support you and your young person.
Caudwell Youth mentors at-risk young people aged 11-24 years into new futures over a period of 2 years. Founded in 2022 by four senior leaders with experience of charity-led mentoring provision and philanthropist John Caudwell. We are determined to ensure that the needs of at-risk young people are properly addressed. We currently work across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and Slough.
