Stewards are the face of our festival. Your welcome and hosting ensures that the public and participants have a fun and safe experience.
Detailed description:
The next Kimpton Folk Festival is on Saturday the 4th of July 2026. As one of our stewards, you are the person who helps each and every person to enjoy and get the most out of their festival experience. You are the face of the folk festival.
Our Stewards can support:
- Festival ticketed guests and performers in the concert halls.
- The public to enjoy the free festival on The Green.
- Parents and children to enjoy the festival in the family area.
- Musicians, dancers, actors and crafts people to deliver their best performance on the day.
Our stewards are also our eyes and ears at the festival and you will be able to notice and report any health and safety or safeguarding incidents you see to the Location Manager you are working with.
These roles have responsibilities, but you will have fun and be one of a large group of volunteers. There are around 1000 visitors to the festival each year and everyone has a great time, enjoying the stunning atmosphere and great music. We hope you will join us. You will be made very welcome!
With a line up that really punches above its weight, it’s “One of the very best little festivals in the country”. Three concert stages, alongside free folk dance and folk music sessions, workshops, and family entertainment on the Green.
