Our aim is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury, by delivering a first class pre‑hospital emergency medical service to the of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

We are looking for SUNDAY volunteers to join our busy Hitchin shop team in the town centre - helping the shop managers complete a variety of daily tasks.

Our shop teams are friendly and relaxed. Volunteers have fun whilst helping the shop managers look after a well‑run and successful charity shop. You will be expected to sign up to regular slots on our rota.

Whilst in the shop there are a variety of roles suiting all ages and abilities such as:

  • Signing people up to Gift Aid
  • Sorting through donations
  • Pricing and helping with displaying the stock while being mindful of stock rotation targets
  • Looking after our customers by helping them with their selections and serving them on the till
  • Helping keep the shop clean

There is always something to do! At the moment we are especially looking for help on Sundays and e‑commerce.

Without access to national lottery funding and with limited support from government, we continue to rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives – working together funded by you!

We truly are a life‑saving charity kept airborne thanks to everyone who plays our lottery, makes a donation, enjoys our events, fundraises in aid of and volunteers for EHAAT.
