As a volunteer, you will:
- be a vital part of community engagement at local events;
- share energy-saving hints and tips;
- connect people with available funding, information, and resources to help them cut costs and carbon emissions;
- join a team of motivated, like-minded individuals dedicated to making East Herts a leader in community-driven climate action.
Volunteers come from a range of backgrounds, with the majority having personal experience with having solar panels, secondary glazing, air-source heat-pumps, etc., installed in their home (although this is not essential). If you are passionate about sustainability, carbon reduction and climate action, volunteering at a Hub could be for you.
Hubs operate roughly once a month and are hosted at venues like Hertford Farmers Market, Eco Fest at Hertford Castle, and other locations in Hertford. You do not need to attend every month to be included in our volunteer pool! Just let us know when you are free.
Energy Hub Hertford wants to help residents find ways to make their home waste less energy and produce less carbon. Through the Hub, residents can find out how to save energy and money, decrease carbon emissions and increase comfort in their home. This friendly group of volunteers runs stalls roughly once a month at Hertford Farmers Market, at Hertford Castle Events, or at other community events in Hertford.
