Harpenden History Society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of our town – past, present, and into the future. We bring Harpenden’s heritage to life.
Working with trustees and members, you will play a significant role in ensuring the Society effectively uses traditional and digital marketing tools to achieve its aims. You will work closely with social media and graphic design specialists to deliver clear, consistent, and engaging messaging to our members, volunteers, and the wider community.
We see the role suiting someone with a creative marketing background who understands how great marketing can drive engagement, create growth, and develop a strong visible presence. While the role could be performed largely from home, we hope the person appointed will enthusiastically participate in our activities. The time you can give us can be fitted around your diary commitments.
What You'll Do
- Support the society's annual activities and events programme and future development plans
- Gather and produce text and graphics content that tells our story through press releases, posters, leaflets, and presentation material
- Manage the digital marketing output across our website, social media channels, and emails
- Use feedback and monitoring data to evaluate performance and recommend improvements
