Mudlarks is a Hertford based charity supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns. Through supported learning and meaningful work in the community, Mudlarks’ projects help people build confidence, self‑worth and essential skills.

We are looking for highly skilled, handy volunteers to lead DIY projects at our sites, both regularly and on an ad‑hoc basis. Work may be performed in all weather conditions.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Lead DIY projects such as building and repairing equipment and resources across our sites (e.g., vegetable beds, sheds, small fencing, shelving and more)
  • Engage and encourage gardeners with learning disabilities as well as staff and volunteers in DIY projects where appropriate
  • Contribute to a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment
