Detailed description

Join us for the Discover, Believe, Become day with Key Stage 3 students (ages 14, year 9) at Stevenage Education Support Centre (SESC).

Your role includes assisting with simple recruitment activities and sharing personal experiences. This is ideal for those seeking a unique school experience. Engage in small-group career-focused activities and discussions, each lasting 20-30 mins. Students may be initially hesitant but will gradually become engaged. ELSA workshops promote networking, skill awareness, interactive tasks, mock interviews, and aspiration building. The day is supportive, with guidance from staff.

Volunteer involvement is crucial. Your impact can be inspiring and transformative, helping prepare students for the workforce. We are supported by community and business volunteers for these Get Work Ready events.

Prior to the event, a Zoom call will be scheduled with new volunteers to discuss expectations.
