Driving clients to and from medical or social appointments using your own car. Offering additional help as necessary, e.g. an arm to hold, department location.

Our aim is to be a dependable good neighbour to any St Albans City and District resident who needs help, particularly older people, who may be unwell, isolated, have special needs or may be dealing with a difficult situation and would benefit from our assistance. We aim to provide help to anyone who needs our support, regardless of their age, ethnicity, background, or personal circumstances.

We can help with lifts to medical or social appointments, shopping, odd jobs in the home or garden, and befriending for those who are lonely. We are a trusted local charity, run entirely by local volunteers.

Our helpline is open from 9.am-1 pm every day of the year including weekends, bank holidays, and Christmas day, with a real volunteer taking calls. We currently have 135 volunteers helping over 1000 clients, and we are looking to increase our volunteer numbers as the demand for our help increases.
