The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

Assist Education lead in regular summer 2-hour sessions about bees and pollinators for children aged 5-11. Possibility to join the monthly planning team. Our Discovery Centre is a fully resourced classroom-sized outbuilding with an indoor observation hive and views into our small apiary, set in a lovely garden. Lesson plans are available but new ideas are always welcome. You would join a small, friendly team offering teaching, resourcing and admin support.

We hope to run fortnightly sessions for schools, home-education groups and uniformed groups through May to September, depending on volunteer availability. We usually allow an hour for set-up and an hour for clear-up, plus a couple of hours of planning. Our visits receive very positive feedback as we provide an exciting hands-on experience not possible in a traditional classroom setting.
