We are seeking individuals to prepare and serve drinks and biscuits in the café for visiting groups and during event days.
Detailed description
The Royal Gunpowder Mills is a 170-acre site protected for its industrial heritage and natural history. Most of the site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM) and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). We open to the public to share exhibitions, offer tours, and activities. We also run educational programs aligned with the site\’s history and the National Curriculum. Additionally, we provide hire space and unique environments for filming.
The charity’s goals are to protect, preserve, and enhance the site\’s special features and to share the stories of its industrial, social history, science, and nature.
Visitors can enjoy refreshments in the Grade II listed Boiler House. The indoor and outdoor eating areas must be kept clean and presentable to ensure a pleasant experience. Volunteers are needed to help create a friendly atmosphere and ensure visitors enjoy their day out.
