Animal Care Volunteer

Overview

We offer therapeutic equine support to children, young people and adults with additional needs and life limiting illness across Hertfordshire.

Location: SG13 8LE, Hertford, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to our horses, including grooming and general maintenance.
• Poo picking and field maintenance.
• Making haynets, feeding, cleaning/sweeping out field shelters and pathways.
• Participate in other horse-based tasks as needed and desired.

This role can be completed Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm. Some weekend opportunities are available for the right person.

Requirements

• Over 18 for insurance purposes.
• Up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required to be on site.
• This is an unsupported role: while team members will be on site, it is not part of our 1:1 programme progression to \’supported volunteering\’ where staff directly support volunteering.
