Reporting To: Finance Manager
We are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join our finance team based in our Head Office in Fenton Stoke-On-Trent. This diverse role is integral to the finance team and offers a great opportunity to be involved in all aspects. You will work closely with the finance manager and other key business stakeholders. You will deliver financial information to support decision making in the business and contribute to a strong financial control culture within the business. Build long-standing cross-functional relationships: identify internal customer requirements, challenge constructively and ensure professional objectivity. Through a centralised function, drive efficiencies through shared resources, processes and systems. Responsibilities for the role:
- All month-end processes and the production of accurate monthly management accounts.
- Reporting and explaining significant deviations between actual results and budget.
- Reconciliation and analysis of Balance Sheet accounts and Trial Balance monthly.
- Ensure HMRC Compliance - VAT Returns and PAYE liabilities are submitted and paid on time.
- Cashflow forecasting and management.
- Reconciliation of Invoice Discounting Facility.
- Supporting the Finance Manager in the day-to-day management of the Team.
- Act as business partners to Operational and Commercial stakeholders within the business.
- Liaising closely with the Company's external auditors in Audit of Year End.
- Developing efficient systems for continuing improvement in effective financial management.
What we are looking for:
- Strong management and interpersonal skills.
- Proven capability of delivering timely and accurate Accounts and Reports.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified or considerable QBE.
- Availability to work at other office locations within the Dee Set & Acosta Group.
- Previous experience of Microsoft Navision & Business Central (preferred, but not essential).
- Able to use Microsoft office packages.
- Interested in client and colleague facing processes.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable manner with plenty of initiative.
- Able to manage own time and prioritise workload.
