Dedicate Recruitment is proud to be partnering with an inclusive, pupil-centred Trust in Birmingham seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Estates. This is a key leadership role, ensuring the estate is safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for the future, while supporting the Trust’s growth and educational mission.
The Head of Estates will provide strategic leadership for the Trust’s estate, across 11 sites, developing and delivering a multi-year Estates Strategy that incorporates capacity, lifecycle planning and environmental sustainability. You will oversee facilities management services including cleaning, caretaking and catering, ensuring excellent standards and value for money are maintained.
As the Trust lead for Health and Safety, the Head of Estates will ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, manage audits and inspections, and lead on emergency preparedness, business continuity and critical incident planning. You will also oversee capital programmes, estate returns, contractor management and procurement frameworks.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised qualification in Estates, Facilities Management or Health & Safety (e.g. IWFM, NEBOSH, IOSH) and demonstrate evidence of continued professional development. Experience of managing multi-site estates, capital projects and compliance systems - ideally within the education sector - is essential.
On a personal note, the Head of Estates will possess natural leadership skills and is adept in bringing resolutions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact within a values-driven Trust committed to safeguarding, equality and excellence for all.
