We’re helping a brilliant, independent health and wellness brand find their next Operations Manager. They’ve had a fantastic few years, building a really loyal customer base online and getting their products onto the shelves of some of the UK’s biggest luxury retailers. Because they’re growing so quickly and expanding into a few new countries this year they need someone to come in and take ownership of the day to day operations. It’s a great team, very welcoming, but they work at a fast pace so they need someone who can keep up and keep things organised.

The Role

Working closely with the COO, you’ll be the person making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your main goal is to make sure products get from the manufacturers to the customers (and retailers) exactly when they are supposed to. You’ll be the main point of contact for the warehouses and factories, spotting potential delays before they happen and finding ways to make the whole process a bit easier and more cost-effective.

What you’ll actually be doing:

  • Running the Supply Chain: Managing the flow of goods from raising the initial purchase orders right through to freight and final delivery to the warehouse.
  • Managing the 3PLs: Keeping a close eye on the external fulfilment partners. You’ll be making sure they hit their targets, getting orders out on time, and stepping in to sort things out if there’s a backlog.
  • Stock & Demand Planning: Chatting regularly with the sales and marketing teams to figure out what’s going to sell and when. You’ll make sure there’s enough stock to meet demand without over-ordering.
  • Supplier Relationships: Working with the product team and contract manufacturers to make sure new launches are produced on time and to the right standard.
  • Fixing Processes: Looking honestly at how things are currently done and finding simpler, smarter ways to do them.

What we’re looking for:

  • Roughly 4+ years of experience in an operations or supply chain role.
  • You really need to have worked in health & beauty, cosmetics, or a similar fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment before.
  • Experience dealing with both e-commerce (D2C) orders and larger retail/wholesale shipments.
  • You know your way around inventory management systems and ERPs (like NetSuite, Unleashed, or similar) and you're comfortable with Excel.
  • You’re a practical problem solver. If a shipment is stuck at customs or a supplier is delayed, your instinct is to find a workaround rather than panic.
  • Good communication skills. You need to be able to build good relationships with everyone from the warehouse team to the brand founders.
  • You don't mind getting stuck in. It’s a growing company, so sometimes you have to roll your sleeves up and help out outside your exact job description.

What’s in it for you?

  • A competitive basic salary and a yearly bonus based on how the company performs.
  • A sensible approach to hybrid working.
  • A very generous monthly allowance of free products, plus a friends and family discount.
  • Private healthcare and a good pension scheme.
  • The chance to make a real, visible difference in rapidly growing brand.
