As an Apprentice Technical Delivery Coordinator, you will assist the Technology & Platforms team in transitioning the business into a more efficient and innovative organisation. Your primary role will be administering technical systems and supporting the management of technology change. You will carry out daily tasks working with IT systems, overseeing processes and have the opportunity to gain exposure to AI and automation technology. You will complete the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship. To be eligible for this programme, you must be based in England. Relocating to another part of the UK or abroad would make you ineligible for the apprenticeship.
Specific Role & Responsibilities
- Platform and systems administration: Assist with routine technical administrative tasks, spot-checks, and system configuration. Support the release of technology updates and custom applications in collaboration with the Technology & Platforms and wider Product teams. Learn to troubleshoot issues in infrastructure and related monitoring systems, for instance with Decoded’s Virtual Labs solution.
- Data and reporting: Build, maintain, and manage performance dashboards and business reports, under the guidance of your team and line manager. Support the Technical Delivery Manager in applying ITIL principles and ensuring high-performing services. Learn data management practices and contribute to improving Decoded’s data architecture over time.
- Automation and continuous improvement: Support the team in identifying opportunities for improving processes and contribute towards rolling out new processes. Join the team in discussions and planning around design and implementation of optimised IT management services and automation tooling, gradually picking up hands-on skills to assist. Learn about development automation practices (e.g. CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code) through training and shadowing, with gradual opportunities to apply them under guidance.
- Governance, security and compliance: Assist with tasks that contribute towards building services and practices around data privacy and IT security governance, such as record-keeping, supporting staff, managing and editing policy documents. Support security audits, certifications, and the monitoring of compliance controls. Assist with preparation for security audits and certifications, for instance by gathering information, checking in with other staff, publishing announcements, managing compliance tasks, maintaining records and learning how compliance controls are monitored. Support improvements to the auditability of Decoded’s technical practices by helping maintain accurate records, inventories, and documentation and by helping research technology to do so more efficiently.
- Collaboration and support: Provide general IT support, working with Decoded’s Managed Service Provider and Technical Delivery Manager and responding to staff, client and learner queries. Continually learn more about our technology, development tools and client technology and data stacks. Coordinate knowledge and systems to enable automation and LLM-driven solutions.

Day to Day
Our working hours are from 9am-5pm Monday - Friday. This role is remote-first but the option to work from our London office is available. You will be in control and responsible for your time. You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs. One day per week will be allocated towards completing your apprenticeship.
