The Role:

  • As Payroll Manager EMEA, you’ll lead a team of five payroll specialists, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries.
  • You’ll be the right hand to the Senior Payroll Manager, driving operational excellence, process improvements, and acting as a subject-matter expert for payroll across the region.
  • This role is based in London and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our payroll operations and team development.

Your Impact:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll specialists, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local legislation and company standards.
  • Audit and approve payrolls, maintaining accuracy and integrity of payroll accounts.
  • Initiate and drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage team capacity planning, workload distribution, and succession planning.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll compliance, audit findings, and regulatory queries.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (HR, Retail Operations) and external payroll partners.
  • Represent Payroll in monthly financial close activities, ensuring accurate reporting, accruals, and journals.
  • Maintain and update payroll systems (Kronos, Oracle, ADP), aligning with business needs.
  • Participate in and lead payroll-related projects and initiatives.

  • Experienced payroll professional with extensive experience in a multinational EMEA payroll function.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred.
  • Proven managerial experience, able to lead by example and inspire your team.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in payroll and HR software (ADP, Workday, Oracle, Kronos).
  • Knowledgeable about SOX compliance and technical aspects of payroll processing.
