Senior Management Accountant (14 months FTC) - responsible for financial operations of the United Kingdom entities and wholesale channel.

Role Overview

As the Senior Management Accountant for Wholesale & UK, you'll be a key member of our finance team, providing comprehensive support across the financial operations of our United Kingdom entities and wholesale channel.

Responsibilities

  • Own the general ledgers and all internal/external reporting and compliance requirements for assigned UK legal entities and EMEA Wholesale channel
  • Execute financial close procedures and prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, as well as other required reports
  • Lead monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Prepare and coordinate year end information for audits, ensuring timely completion of local statutory accounts under FRS102
  • Uphold SOX and Internal Audit compliance for designated entities
  • Manage accounting operations of the Wholesale Channel for all EMEA entities
  • Collaborate with FP&A to understand Plan/Forecast for Wholesale Channel and track/explain variances
  • Attend trade and billing meetings, building strong relationships with sales, customer service, and credit teams
  • Review EMEA wholesale margin and related provisions, adjusting as needed for current market conditions
  • Produce and maintain accounting schedules for returns, discounts, chargebacks, bad debt, deferred revenue, and commissions
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to management on Wholesale Channel performance
  • Collaborate with FP&A to understand and track EMEA Head Office/Corporate Costs, supporting PO processes and accruals
  • Manage lease accounting and monitor ARO provisions across EMEA head offices
  • Calculate accurate provision for wholesale freight, collaborating across finance to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in other areas within the EMEA GL team on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified finance professional (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a bachelor's degree
  • In depth understanding of US GAAP and lease accounting
  • Previous experience with multi functional and multi currency organizations, ideally wholesale/retail/ecommerce and USA based group
  • Experience in a Management Accountant role, managing statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Strong computer skills, advanced Excel, Oracle and Hyperion knowledge highly desirable
  • Experience of SOX Controls desirable
