The Role:
As our Retail Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end program, cost, and project management for all property-related projects, including new store openings, store refits and upgrades, relocations, small works programs, and retail property maintenance. You will identify potential cost-saving opportunities and manage commercial negotiations with suppliers. You will lead and closely collaborate cross-functionally with internal key stakeholders such as the EMEA Head of Retail, Global/EMEA Retail Visual Experience Manager, EMEA Head of Retail Stores, and EMEA Head of Procurement, as well as external partners like landlords, contractors, Deckers vendors, and agencies. Your goal is to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and meet Deckers quality standards. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously across our full-price and outlet channels from project initiation to completion.
Your Impact:
- Lead and develop project management for new shop openings (NSOs), store refits, store relocations, and other retail property-related projects across EMEA.
- Ensure all targets and deadlines are met, and key learnings are implemented post-project.
- Support the budget and timeline setting for all projects, tracking, forecasting, and reporting against them.
- Lead the procurement and contracting management for all consultants and vendors per project, evaluating and negotiating relevant supplier/contractor agreements.
- Coordinate tenders, bid evaluations, and final contractor appointments.
- Drive improvement actions, make recommendations, and develop processes, tools, and procedures to bring efficiency to the department and cost savings.
- Optimize time plans and work towards implementing LEAN methods.
- Maintain a proactive problem-solving approach and solution-oriented mindset.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and project delivery.
- Ensure clear communication of project plans, updates, and changes to relevant internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
- Be the functional expert regarding Building Regulations and CDM, ensuring compliance at all times with legislation requirements, project documentation, time schedule, quality reporting, and financial reconciliation.
- Support the Head of Expansion in business case preparation and during the leasing phase with full coordination and ownership of feasibility study and technical input and discussions.

- Proven experience in property development for an international retailer.
- Bachelor\’s degree in surveying, architecture, construction management, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of retail property markets, lease negotiations, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or equivalent.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision managing multiple projects at once.
