As the Manager in Accounting, you will manage part of the General Ledgers team responsible for inventory, intercompany and distributor activities, and provide reliable information for timely reporting. You will supervise and mentor the team on day-to-day activities related to various entities, distributor channels, and all inventory accounting matters. You will assist the Head of Accounting EMEA with financial close management, team building and finance projects.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative individual who can liaise well with other business departments and a true leader to ensure the wellbeing of the team, as well as supporting their personal and professional development.
Your Impact- Own the General Ledgers and all internal/external reporting and compliance requirements for relevant entities
- Manage the Distributor sales activities and inventory for Deckers EMEA markets
- Review, approve and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Support the Head of Accounting EMEA with regional projects and team empowerment
- Lead and develop a professional group of accountants
- You are flexible and adaptable to change
- You’re comfortable with delivering high quality work according to deadlines
- You understand and can handle confidential and sensitive information
- You are a leader and a mentor to team members
- Qualification in ACA or equivalent, with post-qualification experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel
- An in-depth understanding of US GAAP and FRS102
- Knowledge in Oracle and/or Hyperion is desirable
- 27 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays & some time away from work - on top of generous holiday allowance, we can generally take advantage of half day Fridays providing our work is finished for the week.
