Octant.app is an experimental platform developed under the Golem Foundation, aimed at reimagining funding mechanisms for public goods in the Web3 ecosystem. We operate at the intersection of decentralization, open-source coordination, and blockchain innovation. Our mission is to create systems that empower communities and prioritise public good funding through novel governance and incentive mechanisms.
As we grow, we are looking for a Head of Legal who can help navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, shape strategic partnerships, and ensure our contracts and agreements are tightly aligned with both our values and business goals.
Responsibilities:- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Provide legal counsel on the structure and governance of the Golem Foundation and its relationship to Octant.
- Advise on regulatory issues and risk management across jurisdictions (with a focus on Cayman Islands and potentially Switzerland).
- Support cross-border partnerships and evaluate legal implications of new business and technical initiatives.
- Stay current with developments in blockchain, crypto regulation, and digital asset law globally.
- Ensure that legal documentation and processes align with the values of public goods funding and open-source collaboration.
- Engage and manage external counsel when necessary.
