A well-established and growing restructuring practice is looking to appoint a Senior Insolvency Administrator to join its Manchester team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has already built a strong foundation in corporate insolvency and now wants a role with more responsibility, better exposure, and clearer long-term progression. The firm has a strong reputation in the restructuring market and continues to win quality corporate insolvency work across the North West.
As a result, they are looking for a capable Senior Administrator who can take ownership of cases, support more complex assignments, and become a key part of the team as the practice continues to expand. This role would suit someone who enjoys technical case work but also wants to be involved in a more commercial, forward-thinking environment where they can work closely with experienced Managers, Senior Managers, and Insolvency Practitioners.
The Role
You will be responsible for progressing a varied caseload of corporate insolvency assignments, with a particular focus on delivering work to a high technical standard while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including CVLs, MVLs, Administrations, and other formal insolvency appointments
- Taking responsibility for case progression from appointment through to closure
- Preparing reports, statutory documentation, creditor correspondence, and case updates
- Liaising with directors, creditors, employees, HMRC, agents, solicitors, and other professional advisers
- Assisting with investigations, asset realisations, creditor claims, and distributions
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements
- Supporting junior administrators and helping them develop their technical knowledge
- Working with senior colleagues on more complex restructuring and insolvency matters
Why This Role Stands Out
This is not just a standard case administration role. The firm is looking for someone who wants to develop with the business and take on more responsibility over time. You will be joining a team that offers genuine access to senior decision-makers, a strong quality of work, and a clear route to progression. For the right person, there is the opportunity to move towards Assistant Manager or Manager level as the team grows. The firm offers a professional but down-to-earth working environment, with a strong focus on quality, development, and long-term career growth.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in corporate insolvency
- A good working knowledge of CVLs, MVLs, Administrations, or similar insolvency procedures
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and work to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Confidence dealing with directors, creditors, and professional contacts
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support junior team members
- CPI, ACA, ACCA, or JIEB study interest would be useful, but is not essential
This could be a great move for an Insolvency Administrator ready to step up, or an existing Senior Administrator who wants to join a more ambitious Manchester practice with better progression.
Whats on Offer
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience
- Manchester-based role
- High-quality corporate insolvency work
- Supportive senior leadership team
- Genuine progression towards Assistant Manager / Manager level
- Exposure to a growing and ambitious restructuring practice
- Opportunity to become an important part of the team rather than just another fee earner
