A highly respected and consistently high-performing insolvency and restructuring practice is seeking to appoint an Insolvency & Restructuring Partner to lead and grow its London offering. This is a rare opportunity for an established senior practitioner to take on a genuine leadership role, with autonomy to shape a regional platform backed by a strong national infrastructure, deep technical expertise, and a proven flow of work.
The firm has built an outstanding reputation for the quality of its work, its relationships with key stakeholders, and the calibre of its people. Operating across multiple UK offices, it has experienced sustained growth driven by complex, high-value instructions and long-standing referral relationships. With ambitious but measured growth plans, the partnership is now looking to strengthen its London presence by appointing a Partner who can act as both a figurehead and fee-earner, supported by an established delivery team and senior leadership.
As Partner, you will take responsibility for leading the firm's London insolvency and restructuring practice, with a focus on both client development and technical delivery. Key elements of the role include:
- Leading and growing the London platform, acting as the senior representative of the firm in the region
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key referrers, including banks, advisors, solicitors, and other intermediaries
- Acting as appointment-taker on a range of corporate insolvency and restructuring matters
- Overseeing the delivery of work, supported by experienced Managers and Administrators
- Contributing to wider firm strategy, governance, and growth initiatives
- Playing an active role in mentoring and developing junior and mid-level staff
The role offers significant scope to build a long-term legacy, rather than simply inherit an existing book.
The firm is interested in speaking with individuals who:
- Are operating at Partner or Director level within a UK insolvency or restructuring practice
- Are (or are eligible to become) an appointment-taker
- Have a strong professional network within the London market
- Combine commercial awareness with technical credibility
- Are motivated by building and leading, rather than purely managing an existing portfolio
Both lateral Partner moves and step-ups from Director level will be considered, subject to experience and network strength.
Genuine leadership role with autonomy and influence. Strong existing workflow and national support structure. Platform to build and grow a London practice under your leadership. Competitive and flexible remuneration structure. Long-term career and equity potential.
