As one of our talented Stylists you will provide welcoming, authentic and personalized service to our customers in order to achieve all customer service and sales targets. Qualifications

  • While a qualification in make-up artistry/previous retail make up experience is preferred, we welcome applicants with amateur level experience who are able to demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service.
  • Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
  • Applicants must be able to provide proof of right to live and work in the country if invited to attend for interview.

Position summary

The primary responsibility is to provide outstanding customer service to each customer and to understand individual and team service goals. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining the store environment and operations and assisting with administrative and housekeeping duties. The Senior Stylist will also understand the individual sales and service goals of the Stylists and help them to achieve their goals by providing help, advice and motivation.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Customer service and performance: Achieve the targets set by the Company as communicated by the Store Manager in respect of items per transaction/average £ sale and mix of business. Deliver the highest levels of service by following the Service Checklist to ensure every customer is provided with a fragrance experience that amazes. Ensure that the Three Steps of Service and Our Mission are adhered to at all times. Ensure team executes the Jo Malone service experience with every customer. Coach stylists where necessary and highlight opportunities.
  • Events: Execute events according to Guidelines as directed by Assistant Manager, Boutique Manager, Senior Stylist, Sales & Education Executive, Education Executive or Education Ambassador. Strive to achieve and exceed targets set for the event.
  • Stock: Assist daily in stock and hygiene supplies replenishment and maintain appropriate levels throughout the day. Assist in the proper rotation of stock. Assist with ensuring adequate stock levels on the shop floor and stock rotation. Ensuring that the stock room is kept tidy and highlight any discrepancies or issues to Store Manager. Communicate low on stock and out of stocks to the Boutique Manager.
  • Maintain work environment: Actively participate in cleaning display units, tools and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for the next day’s business. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Clean as you go. Clean and manage Tasting Bar,™ Wet Test Area and Hot Towel Warmers. Ensure enough towels and hot water are always available. Maintain Fragrance Arc, Discovery Table and Tasting Bar™ in proper order. Replace missing, finished or damaged products and equipment once authorised by the Boutique Manager. Maintain proper placement and condition of merchandise on counters, shelves, in stock rooms and all stock holding areas. Inform management of any store maintenance or Health and Safety issues, potential hazards or accidents.
  • Team work: Show excellent standards of timekeeping and attendance. Liaise between store management and store team members. Set store goals and objectives including incentives. Monitor team to aide in achievement of all goals and targets. Undertake specific tasks as given by the Boutique Manager including administrative paperwork and Jo Malone™ Services. Work in conjunction with team members and the Boutique Manager to ensure efficient running of the store. Give great internal customer service and develop good working relationships with colleagues. Keep informed about products, company information and store information. Maintain high standards of time-keeping to ensure team efficiency. Work with the Sales & Education staff to achieve Service Accreditations. Attend and actively participate in training sessions provided by the Company.
  • Administration: Assist with inventory counts. Complete all administration accurately, legibly and on time. Adhere to proper security procedures regarding handling of cash and assets. Follow company procedure for requesting annual leave and absences.
  • Image: Maintain personal grooming to the standards as set by the Company. Only Jo Malone™ London fragrance products are to be used during working hours. Maintain the Jo Malone™ hygiene and image at the counter by cleaning counters, tester stands and displays. Any other duties as specified by Boutique Manager or Assistant Manager or Senior Stylist and Sales and Education Executive.
