We are looking for a strategic HR Business Partner to collaborate closely with business leaders to drive actions that support business goals. The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor, influencing people strategies, fostering employee engagement, and mitigating risk and exposure to the business. This role requires strong judgment and the ability to influence without formal authority. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can combine operational HR expertise with business acumen. This is a 14-month fixed-term contract.

Asset:

  • 5+ year experience operating as an HRBP or people advisor in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Relevant education in Human Resources or another relevant field.
  • A minimum of CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is desirable.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Serve as primary HR business partner for UK, Ireland, and EMEA Corporate & Retail teams, providing practical, business-focused HR guidance.
  • Oversee employee administration, including contracts, onboarding, visas, benefits, and off-boarding.
  • Drive positive employee experience through performance management, engagement initiatives, and wellbeing strategies.
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance processes consistently and in compliance with local laws.
  • Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with organizational strategy, advising on talent, performance, and capability planning.
  • Support managers with coaching, conflict resolution, teambuilding, and complex people situations.
  • Use people analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive organizational change and HR transformation.
  • Lead employee relations cases, investigations, disciplinary actions, and appeals across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure policies are applied fairly and comply with local labour laws and company procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Strong knowledge of local labour laws, with the ability to apply legislation and provide clear, effective business communication.
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills, able to mentor employees and advise managers while handling conflict professionally and diplomatically.
  • Excellent judgment connecting people decisions to business outcomes, with the ability to influence senior leaders constructively.
  • Comfortable working across geographies, cultures, and evolving business models, leveraging data and technology (Google Suite, MS Office, HR systems) to drive decisions.
  • Thrives under pressure, managing competing priorities and deadlines, with occasional travel and hybrid work flexibility.
