- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- The
Director, Communications – Global will be responsible for shaping and driving DECIEM’s global communications strategy, strengthening our reputation and amplifying our brands across key markets and audiences.
This role will lead integrated communications programs, partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, and oversee a high-performing global communications team to deliver meaningful, measurable impact.
This is a contract role ending September 30th, 2027.

- WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Define and drive the global communications strategy, aligning it with DECIEM’s business, brand, and growth priorities.
- Lead integrated communications programs across global markets, balancing global consistency with local relevance.
- Build and evolve compelling narratives across media relations, thought leadership, executive communications, creators, and internal communications.
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape messaging and strengthen DECIEM’s reputation and brand positioning.
- Serve as a trusted communications advisor to leadership, providing strategic counsel on complex and high-stakes matters.
- Lead global crisis communications and develop proactive frameworks to protect and strengthen DECIEM’s reputation.
- Build strong relationships with key global, trade, and industry media to create meaningful opportunities for storytelling and visibility.
- Own the global communications budget, agencies, and external partners, using data and insights to maximize impact and ROI.
- Establish clear KPIs, ways of working, and governance to measure and continuously optimize communications performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global communications team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- 7+ years of experience in global and/or regional communications, PR, or a related communications function.
- 3+ years of experience leading people, agencies, or matrixed teams across multiple markets.
- Proven experience developing and executing communications strategies across both brick-and-mortar and digital retail environments.
- Strong strategic leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Highly analytical and commercially minded, with strong judgment and the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving, and high-pressure environments.
