Schedule & Salary: Monday - Friday 5.30am - 2.00pm with every other Friday off (36-hour week) - £28,022 salary (£14.97 hourly equivalent). Based at our Skipton, North Yorkshire manufacturing site. Please only apply if you live within a commuting distance of Skipton BD23 2RW.
We are Dechra, a growing global specialist within the world of veterinary pharmaceuticals. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, marketing and sales of high-quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide.
The Role:
- Take responsibility for the equipment used and ensure all aspects of use (production and cleaning) are carried out to a high standard, in line with associated documentation and GMP procedures.
- Pack product to the highest quality standard and compliant to the set GMP guidelines and procedures.
- Operate machinery and equipment supporting the line lead in delivering excellence and meeting the schedule of adherence.
- Ensure all activities undertaken are within the set Health and Safety guidelines.
- Attend and comply with any planned in-house training or on-the-job training.
- Capable and willing to train others in the team.
- Maintain the highest standards of Housekeeping, Cleanliness, and personal hygiene within the department.
- Notify the Line Lead, Packing Specialist or Shift Manager urgently if there has been any serious failure of safety or GMP which could affect staff or product quality or operational efficiency.
- Identify any issues and attempt to resolve these, escalating if they cannot be resolved.
- Support Operational Excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency.
- Demonstrate all DECHRA values and encourage others to do the same.
You:
- A self-motivated enthusiastic individual who can work well within a team environment performing packing activities including the operation and cleaning of equipment.
- Ideally experience in a similar GMP packing role.
- Ability to maintain the Packing Plan and ensure schedule of adherence to meet agreed targets.
- Attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety compliance.
- Reliability, punctuality and a demonstrable strong work ethic.
