Manufacturing Technician – Overview

Skipton, UK. Earliest shift from 05:30 to 14:00, Monday–Friday. 9 Day working fortnight (every second Friday off).

What you'll be doing

As part of our Manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for supporting daily production activities and ensuring equipment and processes operate smoothly and safely.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Manufacturing products in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and approved procedures.
  • Setting up, operating, dismantling and cleaning manufacturing equipment to a high standard.
  • Completing production documentation accurately and ensuring paperwork is "Right First Time".
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining full compliance at all times.
  • Supporting production schedules to help the team achieve daily and wider operational targets.
  • Identifying and resolving issues where possible, escalating concerns when required.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensuring equipment is safe, clean and operating effectively, highlighting any maintenance concerns.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Participating in training programmes and sharing knowledge by helping to train and support colleagues.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, quality and compliance throughout the manufacturing area.

  • Experience within a manufacturing, packaging or production environment.
  • Experience of manual or semi-automated manufacturing processes.
  • Previous experience working within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience or experience in a similarly regulated sector.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
