The Opportunity
Working closely with the wider Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating the approval and implementation of printed and packaging components across multiple products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
So, what will you be doing?
This is a great opportunity to embed yourself within the manufacturing and supply process and play an integral role, bridging various teams together across the supply chain, MS&T and Packaging. There are roughly 200 updates to various products and line extensions per year. The artwork team is responsible for managing the whole process. These updates can be in relation to SKUs (stock keeping units) or product families i.e packaging labels, leaflets and cartons. Information may need changing or updating on various elements, such as regulatory changes to addresses, patient safety regulations or adding in additional countries.
Other elements of the day-to-day may involve:
- Working with the Packing department to arrange trials on any significant component changes
- Support the introduction of new products to the business (or significant changes to existing products, including line extensions), liaising with all departments as necessary. This includes responsibility for the generation and approval of relevant documentation, i.e. specifications, packing batch records, product formulation sheets, etc. and holding meetings as necessary
- Liaising with customers/suppliers to ensure new artworks are introduced in a controlled manner.
- Coordinate stock usage, ensuring the reject procedure is followed through to its natural conclusion
- Liaise with relevant departments and personnel such as Quality, Production, Regulatory Affairs, Affiliate Regulatory Representatives, Marketing and Production Planners to ensure the timely generation and approval of printed component changes
