The Role As a Consulting Engineer - Forward Deployed - you will be empowered to operate with high individual ownership. You’ll support execution of design solutions that unify complex data landscapes, enable workflow builds that drive smarter decisions and execute within partnerships with organisations to deliver sustainable transformation. Supporting your deployment team who work directly with clients. You will be the face of Decho, requiring a unique blend of technical mastery and high emotional intelligence (EQ) to navigate complex environments. You will support the architecture of solutions, working iteratively to build fast, beginning to build your own backlog, demonstrating your work to clients and refining it based on real-time feedback.

What You'll Do

  • End-to-End Delivery: Contribute to team ownership of client problems, supporting with deep data engineering knowing that may require low/no code Palantir Foundry tooling, or Python and PySpark code repos - to executing user-facing front-end applications and widgets in TypeScript or REACT.
  • Client Advisory & Translation: Sit directly alongside clients, supporting problem solving and translating complex technical language into stakeholder appropriate communication.
  • AI Integration: Support embedding of AI workflows into existing applications using cutting-edge tools like AIP Logic Functions, AIP Analysts, and AIFDE.
  • Decho Labs Innovation: Contribute to Decho Labs to support building of tangible internal products. Feed your deployment learnings back into the company so our teams learn from your success and we create compounding assets of value for internally and for our clients.
  • Innate Collaboration: Actively participate in our "show and tell" culture through teachbacks and tech reviews and uplift your peers through our highly active internal support channels.

What We Are Looking For

  • Problem Solvers: We value individuals who can navigate nuanced client environments. We care more about your ability to contribute to breaking down complex use cases and execute across architectural solutions than rote memorising of coding syntax.
  • Coding proficiency in one or more of the following (Python/SQL/TypeScript /REACT) and the capability to pick up others quickly. You should understand data engineering principles, ETL pipelines and application development.
  • Familiarity with Palantir (Foundry, Gotham, or similar) is desired but not mandatory provided you have a strong willingness to learn.
  • High EQ & Curiosity: Under guidance, the emotional intelligence to enable clients to achieve expectations, a proactive self-starting nature and the humility to know you don't know everything and search for and accept help.
  • Impact-Driven Communication: The ability to learn and present impressive demos, simplify complexity for non-technical users and support on delivering genuine client impact.
