The Recruiting Specialist will facilitate the recruitment strategy for both legal professionals (lawyers) and business services staff across the firm's EMEA offices. This role is responsible for attracting top talent, coordinating the full‐cycle recruitment process, and ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals and culture. The Recruiting Specialist will collaborate closely with practice group leaders, department heads, and other Talent team members to deliver a seamless and effective hiring experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with practice group leaders, directors and business services department heads to identify hiring needs, devise search strategies and draft engaging job advertisements.
  • Source candidates through direct methods, develop talent pipelines and pools of viable candidates.
  • Screen and conduct interviews for business professionals to ensure candidate suitability, advise hiring managers of market talent and candidate profiles.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with search firms to advertise available positions and organise search overviews with headhunters and practice groups as needed for specific roles.
  • Coordinate candidate interview schedules and collect interview feedback.
  • Act as liaison to candidates throughout the interview process and ensure hiring managers are consistently updated on progress.
  • Facilitate decision‐making process with practice group leaders and, with Recruiting Manager, advise on offer packages and candidate follow‐up.
  • Update candidate profiles through the recruiting process in the applicant tracking system (ATS), maintain candidate documents and adhere to file retention policy.
  • Partner with internal departments to facilitate smooth onboarding, orientation and integration.
  • Review fee agreements annually to ensure current terms and market considerations are included.
  • Review payment of placement fees and reimbursement of all expenses related to hiring.
  • Organise content and updates on recruiting careers pages, internal and external.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage applicant tracking and work with the Risk & Compliance team to ensure compliance with employment law and data privacy legislation.
  • Provide regular reporting and analytics on recruitment metrics and trends.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in legal and professional services recruitment.
  • Special projects and other responsibilities, as assigned by Global Director, Talent Recruiting and Recruiting Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment and across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven track record of managing full‐cycle recruitment for both legal and business services roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast‐paced service environment and be a team player on an energetic recruiting team.
  • Highly organised, detail‐oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Expertise in Workday HRIS System and other recruitment technologies (in particular Vi), PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of legal industry trends and talent market dynamics.
  • Understanding of HR procedures related to recruitment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, in particular SRA regulations in the UK.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
