This is a freelance/remote role for an A&R (Artists and Repertoire) position. The A&R professional will scout and discover new talent, develop artist relationships, and provide guidance in the promotion of an artist's music.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying potential PR campaigns that would be appropriate for an artist
- Collaborating closely with artists, labels, and management teams
- Staying up-to-date on market trends and competitors to maintain a strong presence in the music industry
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in talent scouting, artist development, and music direction
- Strong knowledge of music production, recording processes, and creative collaboration
- Strong understanding of market trends, audience behaviour, and the music industry landscape
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and organisation
- A passion for music and cultural trends
- Previous experience working in A&R or other music industry roles is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Arts Management, or relevant field is preferred but not mandatory
